Park Description
Northland’s newest mountain bike park as of 2026. The Kauri Coast MTB Park is located in the Kaipara District 4.5 km off SH12 and just 15 minutes north-west of Dargaville.
The park is built on sandstone, creating an ideal all-weather surface, a great option when other parts of Northland have become slippery clay and mud.
Maintained by the local biking community, the park continues to grow as funds allow. Already there are more than 20km of tracks completed and a total of 40 km proposed; there are trails for all abilities. Most trails are beginner to intermediate level with B lines around any tricky features.
Like most mountain bike parks the condition of the trails relies on dedicated volunteers. Annual and Day passes all contribute to ensuring the longevity of the park. You can get your pass through Hivepass.
