This is a community-driven project on behalf of the residents of One Tree Point, Marsden Cove, and Ruakaka and aims to provide an alternative safe shared pathway route between the three communities. This community group has been working on this initiative for over 3 years.
Joint consultation has occurred with key stakeholders: Whangarei District Council, Northern Regional Council, Ruakaka Ratepayers Association, Patuharakeke Iwi, Channel Infrastructure, Meridian Energy, Northport, Hermpac, Marsden Maritime Holdings, and other local businesses.
