Whangarei has two main mountain bike parks: Parihaka and Glenbervie.
Parihaka is the officially designated park. Both parks offer trails for cross-country, freeride, and downhill. The Whangarei Mountain Bike Club is thriving, with membership steadily growing.
A very active group of enthusiastic mountain bikers, the Kerikeri MTB Club has been growing dramatically over the past few years.
Their tracks are in Whitehill Forest. Hand-crafted and machine-built tracks, for intermediate to expert riders, weave through plantations and native forests. Covering a range of terrain, from technical, rooty and off-camber tracks to smooth berms and jumps, there is an adventure around every corner.
